Asus A43SA VGA Driver Update

The main obstacle of this ASUS A43SA is a VGA driver update. VGA Driver from a official CD and Asus Website version is AMD Catalyst 12.08. If you want to update the VGA Driver from the AMD website this laptop only support up to 12.10 for the installation as usual. To update the drivers to version higher then needed a little tweak. If you reckless and install VGA driver without use this tweak you will get a blank screen after install. The following arethe stages of the installation:

1. First you must Download and install Display Driver Uninstaller(DDU) and CCleaner, You can download from this link Display Driver Uninstaller and CCleaner 
2. If you open you will extract this software to specific folder. 

   

   Extact Display Driver Uninstaller

3. Open file in the folder. Run as Adminstrator.
4. A warning appears, klik YES

   

   Reboot into Safe Mode

5. After this your ASUS A43SA will restart and go to Safe Mode.
6. in Safe Mode DDU will automatically open in the start up.
7. Choose Clean and Shutdown. wait until progress done and automatically shutdown. 

   

   Choose Clean and Shutdown

8. Turn on ASUS A43SA. After this you will face the ugly desktop. 
9. Uninstall ATK Packed from Control Panel.

   

   Uninstall ATK Package

10. Install CCleaner and open it. Click Registry in left menu and click Scan for Issues. Wait after the progress done and click Fix selected issues ...

11. Click No in the pop up warning 

    

    No Backup Registry

12. Repeat again step 9 until No issues were found.
13. until this step you can install AMD Catalyst Driver 12.10
14. if you want install a new Radeon Crimson Driver you must follow next instruction.
15. After you use CCleaner you must open regedit in RUN. 

    

    Windows+R

16. Find this directory HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Control > Class > {4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} > 0000 >. Find KMD_EnableBrightnessInterface2

17. If KMD_EnableBrightnessInterface2 is not found you can create with right click New > DWORD (32-bit) Value and enter KMD_EnableBrightnessInterface2. After that double click and fill 1 in Hexadecimal Base.

18. After this you can install AMD Radeon Crimson Driver.
19. Restart and DONE

• All step must be done right.
• ATK Packed must uninstall because if you not uninstall it you will get Blank Screen after restart.
